There is a long step from a single successful project to reworking the organisation itself.

It was obvious to everyone on the project that the whole thing had been a juggling act – without someone with experience to spot trouble before it became serious and to coax (or bully) people in the appropriate direction it would have got hung up on many little things.

The larger task now presents itself: embed good practice into the fabric of the organisation The objective:

Success doesn't rely on individuals

I'm still working to achieve this, and that is what the next part of the talk is about. Change can be slower than desired - the board decided some time ago that "all projects are now to be done the new way".
