Notes:
I am a long-standing contributor to the ACCU journals and mailing lists and, until recently, chair of the ACCU. I am also a member of the BSI C++ Panel (not a very active one since taking a non-programming job in a Java based organisation).
In working life I am "Software Development Champion" at Microlise Limited. I have responsibility for introducing both developers and management to more effective ways of developing computer software.
For most of my technical articles and various other goodies visit:

I've not been able to put in practice all of the methods recommended by “Agile” practitioners – and, in particular, have never “done XP” (although I do have the T-shirt). However, I've tried a lot of methods over the decades and have experience of things that don't work (and some that do).
